THE TEACHINGS OF BISHOP DAVID HILL/THE LORD ELIJAH.PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR GOSPEL ON YOUTUBE.[@]HOUSE OF ISRAEL 777 FOREVER . RELIGION AND SLAVES . Someone has said that ‘’the time is now ripe for the true religion to come to the top’’. But before we move to determine which is the true religion a question worthy of consideration may very well be asked. Can religion help mankind, or what has religion done for mankind? The creator, who is form everlasting to everlasting, is the only one who can establish a true religion: ’’Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.’’(Psalm 127:1)He is the creator of only one religion (Ephesians 4:5-6, Isaiah 43:1).’’Every man is brutish in his knowledge every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.’’(Jeremiah 10:14) ‘’The gods that that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens, (Jeremiah 10:11) ’’The Portion of Jacob is not like them, for he is the former on all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The Lord of hosts is his name. ‘’Jeremiah 10’’16. If we are to investigate the monotheistic religions – Judaism, Christianity and Muhammadism, and in that order we will see that the Jewish religion is first. (Exodus 4:22; Romans 1:16) History teaches us that the pope in his bull of demarcation in 1493 debarred Spain from African possessions and compelled her to contact with other nations for slaves. This contract was in the hands of the Portuguese in 1600; in the hands of the Dutch in 1640 and in 1701, the French. The war of the Spanish succession brought this monopoly to England. The English trade in black souls began with Sir John Hawking’s voyage in 1762 and later, his good ship ‘’played a leading part in one of the world greatest in justices by man to man. So it was that the slave trade which was begun by the Portuguese, enlarged by the Dutch, and carried to its culmination by the English, was centered on the West coast near the seat of perhaps the oldest and most interesting culture of Africa (W.E.B.Du Boils, The Negro, pages 91 and 92). Religion was vicious to the African race and still is even unto this day. As we look at the Negro in his present confused state we are forced to consider what happened to the African people or what caused them to descend from the highest place to the lowest among the people of the world. It will come as news and even as a shock not only to the unlearned but also to educated Negroes to realize that the black race were once the leading people on earth; that Egypt constitutes a part of the black race; that the blacks are the true pioneers in the sciences, medicine, architecture and writing; and the first builders in stone.
