THE TERRACE OVER BOBLINGEN: Good morning! This morning Patrick and I went to the little terrace of our hotel and made this short video for you, showing the ridiculously charming little German town lightly interspersed with industry here and there. Check out the lovely little steeple and the chimney smoke rising on this brisk morning. So quaint! And then, though I COULD have edited it but I thought, what the heck....at the END of the short video you can see where I THOUGHT I had cut it off, but didnt. There you will hear the muffled arguments of Patrick and myself referring to tracks. Here is the story behind the tracks (which actually arent tracks at all, but an encoded reference): When we were in Paris last year and I was filming the Metro (subway) to show my Mom and kids (who have never seen the like either) and Patrick insisted Be sure and film the tracks.... WTF? :-D I quickly retorted No one is interested in the tracks, Patrick... and that has become a classic line of reference between us whenever there is discussion about the function of anything. :-D Watch carefully in this little clip and you will notice the solar panels everywhere - its a very solar-panel kind of place. And he commented on it, and then said I would just think they were tracks, to which I argued that no, I wouldnt....I LIKED the solar panels....they arent tracks... blah blah blah.... :-D So anyhoo, a little background story before you drive yourself crazy trying to find the tracks we are arguing about. The tracks are the SOLAR PANELS. Take a peek - its a lovely little sleepy town!
