Every film needs to enter this club in order to be recognised as a major hit. Although it cant be compared, but a similar craze was witnessed during the formation of the 10 Crore Club in Tollywood recently. With the 14 Crore Club also now getting opened, these are certainly proud achievements for the industry. Considering the average film-business ranged between 50 lakhs to 1 crore for a significant period in the 90s, Bengali cinema has clearly come a long way since then. So over the next 1 month, in order to get a more accurate picture of the gradual progress made by the industry, we will take a look at all the films which initiated the formation of a new crore club in Tollywood; i.e. from 1 crore to the 10 crore mark. All these films were true game-changers and besides setting new milestones, they also played their part in the step-by-step expansion of the film market over the last decade and a half.
