THE TRAGEDY OF MISPLACED PRIORITY: 1Kings.20:39-40. And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king; and he said. Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, keep this man, if by any means he be missing thy life for his life or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver. And as thy servant was busy here and there; he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him. So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it. In the story we see the tragedy, the danger and the peril of misplaced priority. This man was told in a very clear terms keep this man, if he be missing your life for his life or you will pay a talent of silver. Unfortunately this man was busy about other unimportant, none essential things and the man escaped. This is what we called misplaced priority leaving the most important to pursue the unimportant, leaving the essential to run after none essentials. Gen.25:29-34. Esau misplaced his priority when he sold his birthright for pottage. Pottage is none essential when compared with birthright. Mt.26:14-16. Judas Iscariot misplaced his priority when he threw away his apostleship and position among the disciple of Christ for thirty pieces of silver. 2Timothy.4:10. Being a missionary, a preacher and a servant of the most high God and being a judge in the world which one is greater, off course being a servant of God is greater but Demas misplaced his priority he choose the world and lost the kingdom and the mansion in heaven. Gen.3:1-10, 23-24. Adam and Eve misplaced their priority when because of eating the forbidden fruit they lost the glory of God, the Garden of Eden, and fellowship with the Lord and a lot of other blessings. And today the Lord is giving us this message so that we can set our priorities right. And seek the kingdom of God first and righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Mt.6:33. Mk.8:36-37. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? SET YOUR PRORITY RIGHT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN YET DO IT NOW, ACCEPT CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR AND YOUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVING YOU AND YOUR NAME WILL ENTER INTO THE BOOK OF LIFE. AND YOUR LIFE WILL BECOME NEW. 2COR.5:17.
