THE TUESDAY MORNING POST Last week we agreed to take Iris and her pups from a kill shelter in the south. Our south carolina foster, Jennifer picked them up for us yesterday. It was a happy day for us at the center. Yoko and her pups arrived safely. Iris and her pups were out of the shelter. I was going to bed peacefully with thoughts of an amazing day. And then I decided to take one more look at facebook before i closed my eyes; and saw the email from Jennifer with the pictures of Iris and her babies. I cried, what haunting pictures, of a mother starving and yet caring for her babies. Yes, they are safe and in the loving arms of a wonderful foster. but the pictures of a flea infested starving mom made me have nightmares. It hurts to look at the pictures. Thank you everyone that was involved in saving this poor families lives.
