THE UNBROKEN HISTORY OF THE SOVEREIGN GRACE BAPTIST ASSEMBLY OF TORIL, DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES (Now: SOVEREIGN GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH AND INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES) (Based of the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles in Matthew 16:18; 28:20; Ephesians 3:21; Hebrews 12:28) Link 1 The Body of Christ in the Sovereign Grace Baptist Assembly (Mission) of Toril, Davao City, Philippines was started by Bishop Ronald D. Jacutin, Sr. through baptizing the converts and formed them into Mission assembly (together with the Body of Christ in Sovereign Grace Baptist Assembly of Sibulan, Toril, Davao City) who had sent out by the Boiling Springs MBC of Cherokee, N.C., USA. (Minutes of the Boiling Spring Baptist Church April 2006.) Link 2 The Body of Christ in Boiling Springs MBC of Cherokee, N.C. USA, under the present pastoral of Dr. Gilbert Breedlove, was organized in 1862 at Hanging Dog, Murphy NC under the authority of Humphrey Posey, of the Philadelphia Baptist Association who was sent out from the Welch Tract Baptist Church of Virginia. (See Skitch of the Life of Elder Humphrey Posey (1780-1846) by Robert Fleming) (The Churches in the Philadelphia Baptist Association was organized from the Body of Christ in the Particular Baptist Churches of England and fled England from the persecution of the Anglican Church.) Link 3 From 1862 on, the Body of Christ in Boiling Springs MBC was connected with the Philadelphia Baptist Association of churches and was officially received into the association on October 8, 1862. (Minutes of the Philadelphia Baptist Association From 1800 to 1807 p. 71) Elder Humphrey Posey was one of the messengers at the annual meeting when Boiling Springs MBC as the Body of Christ was received into the Association. Posey came from the Body of Christ in Welsh Tract Baptist Church in Newcastle County, Delaware (p.15) which was organized with 16 members at Pembrokeshire, South Wales in June of 1701 and sailed together to Philadelphia arriving September 8, 1701. Link 4 The Welsh Tract Church was one of the founding churches of Philadelphia Baptist Association in America to which Elder H. Roller from the Hillcliffe Church came in A.D. 1809. (Minutes of the Philadelphia Association, year 1809) (The Welsh Tract Church was the result of the Apostle Paul Ministry through Pudence and Claudia back in 63 A.D.) Link 5 The Welsh Tract Church came to America on the James and Mary ship in A.D. 1701. (D.B. Ray’s Baptist Succession, p. 65 and Davis’ History of the Welsh Baptists, pp. 72-73) Link 6 The Welsh Tract Church was organized from the ancient Welsh Baptist Churches and Hillcliffe Church. (Davis’ History of the Welsh Baptists, p. 7, and Benedict’s History of the Baptists, p. 348, 1848 edition) Link 7 Aaron Arlington came from Lima Piedmont Church and organized the Hillcliffe Church in A.D. 987. (Jones’ History of the Christian Church, p. 324) Link 8 Balcolao came from the Timto Church and organized the Lima Piedmont Church in A.D. 812. (Neander’s Church History. Volume 2, p. 320) Link 9 Archer Flavin came from Darathea Church and organized the Timto Church in A.D. 738. (Mosheim’s Church History, p. 394) Link 10 Adromicus came from Pontifossi Church and organized the Darathea Church in A.D. 671. (Lambert’s Church History, p. 47) Link 11 Tellesman came from the Turan Church and organized the Pontifossi Church in A.D. 394. (Nowlin’s Church History, Volume 2, p. 318) Link 12 Tertullan came from the Partus Church and organized the Turan Church in A.D. 237. (Armitage’s Church History, p. 182) Link 13 The Partus Church was organized by Polycarp in A.D. 150. (Cyrus’ Commentary of Antiquity, p. 924) Link 14 Polycarp was baptized by John the Beloved in December 25, A.D. 90. (Neander’s Church History, p 285) Link 15 John the Beloved was baptized by the first Baptist preacher, John, and was one of the first members of the church which the Lord Jesus Christ himself founded in Jerusalem.
