THE URBAN TALES OF MZ. BUMPER QUEEN: A modern and quirky online fiction series told with the realest UK urban flavour. Laughter. Tears. The anatomy of life. Chasing dreams. Facing realities. The baffling psychology of lurve, Louboutins, Primarni, dramas, chicken and chips and we can’t forget tiaras! TOP LEFT: The leader of the pack, larger than life Marcia Burton AKA Mz. Bumper Queen accommodates an energetic passion for partying ‘ard with her girls and stuffing her gob with the world’s culinary delights. When she’s not skanking it out on the dance floor Marcia can be found in the office or at the university library. Career wise, ambitious Marcia works part time as an insurance broker in the city of London while studying for her business degree. When it comes to her personality Marcia is cheeky, bubbly and kind. With a reputation for being a little on the dramatic side, Marcia puts the letter ‘D’ into ‘diva’. TOP RIGHT: With pretty angelic looks and a butter wouldn’t melt smile, Marcia’s long-time friend Jade (nickname Twinny) is a prime example of why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Combining her love of designing with her naturally creative streak, identical twin Jade is a hairdresser and clothes designer. She runs a clothes boutique with her older sister Jodie-Ann in Shoreditch. A keen boxer, Jade enjoys sparring sessions and watching wrestling matches in her spare time. Small in stature but big in attitude Jade’s hot headed temper means her tolerance for crap is next to non-existent. Loyal, blunt and extremely honest, those that come into contact with Jade are warned to cross her at their own peril. BOTTOM LEFT: Cool as she is laid back, Marcia’s best friend Johanna (nickname Jo-Jo) often refers to herself as the Black Carrie Bradshaw. This popular fashionista is an award winning entertainment journalist (she works for the UKs top woman of colour magazine ‘She’s All That’) and CEO of the M.U.C (Millennium Urban Chick) appreciation society. The M.U.C appreciation society is a mentoring, events and public relations company which inspires and supports females between the ages of 13-21 from inner-city backgrounds in achieving their personal and career orientated goals. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Johanna is one social butterfly renowned for working her natural ‘boss lady’ swagger to the maximum. Bottom right: Shauna sometimes referred to as ‘Legz’, is Marcia’s shyest buddy. Often labelled as the mummy or the sensible one out of the four close friends, health conscientious primary school teacher Shauna prides herself on being responsible. However, give Shauna the slightest taste of a funky house or soca jingle and she immediately loses her bashful inhibitions and reports to that dance floor.
