THE USAGE OF RICHES FROM GODLY PERSPECTIVE: When a person travels to another country, he lives there as a stranger with the mind that one day he will come back and settle finally in his home country. He lives on the foreign land but all his projects and investments are done in his home country so that when he returns home he can live comfortably. People who dont make enough provision for the future come back to live in difficulties. In the same manner the bible advice us to live as strangers in this world. Whiles we invest in our eternal home- Heaven. Jesus said John 14:2 I am going to prepare a place for you. However, I was made to understand from divine encounters that it was our spiritual input and giving that provide the building materials used to build ones home. This is very unlike what we have here in our world where only the rich can build a house. Even people with the lowest income can still afford a heavenly house, not just a house but a mansion, not an ordinary mansion but a golden or a silver one!! I mean what is money to our heavenly Father?? In fact heavenly homes are more affordable and more beautiful than the ones here on earth. Not many of us can rent a whole house let alone to build it. The truth is God hasnt told us to work for Him for nothing, he has promised to pay us!! Honestly,It is easier to be spiritually rich than to be rich physically. In the sense that there are many things to do to be rich that doesnt require money at all.It is not necessarily the bishops and the big pastors who get the big houses, rather it is ANYONE who will be faithful with what he is given.. The story of Lazarus and The rich man was a practical example: Lazarus was extremely poor physically yet he was rich spiritually. Jesus counsel us in Matt.6:20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; Treasures go beyond physical money in the sight of God: winning souls for Jesus, your time spent in Gods word, Time spent in praying for others, How you help others to get closer to God,The sacrifices you pay to promote peace in your marriage, your services in church, your tithes and offerings. Giving to the needy who cant pay you back.!! and many more. In short anything you do to uplift others in Christ.is a treasure and a building material so lett get into the treasure storing business!! You dont need to fight for position at all in the Church because are a lot you can do! Some Treasure Storing Ideas: ( Making oneself Rich) -Pray for the new converts in the Church or those you know. - Pray for the souls of unsaved family members and friends - Buy a bible for a friend who cant afford one - Commit yourself to offer a lift to someone who have to walk a long distance to church - Give a call to new converts (follow -up) to see how they are doing - Call, encourage and pray together with a friend who is going through a tough time - Make salvation leaflets and give them out to people on the street. - Prepare simple bible story leaflets for your Sunday school children _ Join prison Ministry and help convicts find hope and new life in Christ. - Share Christ with your colleagues at work place.
