THE WEEK THAT WAS ..... is finally over !!!!. Its 3pm on a sunny Sunday afternoon and we are finished ( yes its early, but dont tell anyone ). The second of our Yu Gi Oh Sneak Peeks have finished and the Flames of War guys have had an early mark because Ben the Viking needed to pack up camp. He really is a viking, Ive seen the pictures ). We had word that the Aust Flames of War team is currently in second place at the world championships in Serbia ( go guys !!! ). It was a lovely reasonably quiet day today and we had lots of prizes handed out in Yu Gi Oh, both today and yesterday. Friday was cold but we had a good group of Magic players in for FNM, we had to split into 2 groups. Our wonderful board game group explode with many new faces this week and many great games were played ( sadly, none by me ). Avalon and The Resistance were being played by two groups and boy were they loud !!!!. I think they were all spies !!!. We were out by midnight ( another miracle ) but we were back on Saturday to do battle once again. We had Pokémon Pre Release first up and a great turn out of players were all vying for the best cards. At the same time we also had a Vanguard Sneak Peek and again, lots of players all battling to win prizes. An hour later the first of our Magic Game Days started and we had Yu Gi Oh players streaming in waiting for their Sneak Peek to start ( nothing like a bit of stress to get you going on a Saturday, now who hid those damn jelly babies !!! ). Amongst all this mayhem, we had a film crew in setting up to do more on their documentary on Magic players and the game ( it will be good to see when its finished ). They interviewed Jay and now hes talking about charging for his autographs ( get in quick before he raises the price !!! ).Their cameras were everywhere and it was fun. The winner of our first Game Day event was won by Sam, who took home the highly sort after mat and other cool things and our second event was won by Tom, who also took home a mat. Everyone won boosters and special cards. After a great day ( but a tiring one ), it was off to the Tattersalls for dinner ( wonderful food ). I finally finished reading my book, we pulled faces at William and Jay ( who were at another table with friends) and laughed really hard when Jay tried to balance his cheesecake at an odd angle and nearly lost it off his plate !!!!. Contrary to popular belief there are no photos of me playing with the stuffed animals that Jay won from the crazy machine in the kids area .... . So there you go, its over .... until next week, when we start all over again. There are lots of things happening, so be sure to check out our web page and Facebook too.
