Obama will attempt to effectively eliminate the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights—replacing it with new language approved by the United Nations… …just by signing his name. Let me explain: Back on April 2nd, the United Nations General Assembly passed the Arms Trade Treaty, or “ATT.” Put simply, the ATT is a global anti-gun initiative which President Obama ordered the United States to vote for in the U.N.’s General Assembly—and which the President is expected to sign as early as June 3rd. YES, I WILL HELP YOU STOP THE U.N. ARMS TRADE TREATY! I need your help today to stop this global assault on the rights of law-abiding U.S. citizens’ to own guns. Moreover, I need your help today to remind President Obama that Congress passes the laws which govern American citizens, and NOT the United Nations. The ATT is a direct threat to the rights and personal privacy of every American. It will immediately affect every individual and family who today legally owns a gun, and it would jeopardize the rights of Americans who might want to own a gun in the future. Most shockingly, firearm-exporting nations would be pressured to adopt the gun control laws of the nations which import guns from them. In short, the United States would be pressured to adopt the laws of the most prohibitive nations on earth, effectively taking away Americans’ 2nd Amendment rights. Secretary of State John Kerry has already released a statement saying the U.S will sign this abomination once official English translations of the treaty are received. As a free people, we cannot sit idly while our own nation sacrifices our rights, guaranteed and protected in the Constitution, to a body of international bureaucrats. We cannot simply hand over our sovereignty to foreign nations that would like nothing more than to see America disarmed. Will you stand with me today? Will you join me in protecting our nation, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our blessed Second Amendment from this Obama-led, international assault? As you read this, more than 60-nations around the globe have already signed this treaty, 10-more than needed to ratify it in the United Nations. It will take effect 90-days later among participating countries. Please do not let this become the law of the land in America. YES, I WILL HELP YOU STOP THE U.N. ARMS TRADE TREATY! You, and I and a dedicated group of patriots are the last line of defense preventing our rights from being trampled by foreign despots and dictators. After Barack Obama signs this so-called “treaty”, it will come to the U.S. Senate. There, with your support, I can stop it.
