THE WOMAN WHO DEMANDED TO KNOW HOW MUCH HER HUSBAND EARNS BEFORE - TopicsExpress

THE WOMAN WHO DEMANDED TO KNOW HOW MUCH HER HUSBAND EARNS BEFORE REVEALING HOW MUCH HE EARNS A husband who pays for most of the things in their home, demands to know the earnings of his wife but refuses to show her how much he earns, when the wife also demands to know his earnings. The man goes on the offensive and threatens to wreak havoc should the woman refuse to bow to his demands. The woman flatly refuses because the husband has not shown her his earnings. What can be done better? First of all, nothing prevents the woman from showing the husband how much she earns. These are my reasons: (1) Firstly, the man pays for most of the things in this financially dysfunctional home. (2) The man is the leader of the home, there is nothing wrong with the demand of the man per se. What is wrong though, is the inability of the man to show leadership by example. This shows that he has something to hide or that he is suffering from a complex. (3)Because of the conduct of the man, the woman has a point, however, her response is wrong on this count: WHEN YOUR HUSBAND IS CLEARLY HAVING THE COMPLEX OF INFANTILISM, (BEHAVING LIKE A CHILD), SHOWING AGGRESSION AND DOMINANCE, SHOW WHAT A WISE AND AWESOME WOMAN YOU ARE BY LETTING HIM KNOW WHAT YOU EARN, THEN YOU REQUEST TO KNOW WHAT HE EARNS. IF HE REFUSES TO LET YOU KNOW, THEN WE KNOW WHO HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE.Solomon says, When arguing with fools, be sure to answer their foolish arguments, or they will become wise in their own estimation.(Proverbs 26:5) But in so answering, remember that Blessed are the peace makers... 4) If you are taking a shower and a drunkard comes to take away your coat, what do you do? Do you jump out of the shower and chase him around for your coat? The woman is meeting fire with fire and such attitude will wreck a family. One of them has to take the responsibility of showing leadership in this home, unfortunately, none of them is mature enough to be the leader. When arguing with fools, dont answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are. (Proverbs 26:4) 5) Finally Paul says, Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY, says the Lord (Romance 12:17-19)
