THE militant group behind the Naiorbi mall siege says they "vetted" foreigners, including Australian Ross Langdon, before killing them. In the same week as Somali jihadi terrorists in Nairobi, Kenya, slaughtered non-Muslims, their brothers were on a killing spree elsewhere. They blew up a church full of parishioners in Peshawar, Pakistan, took hostages in Mindanao, Philippines, exploded bombs at a funeral in Baghdad, and attacked the Nigerian capital of Abuja. In Syria, gruesome acts of barbarism in the name of Islam continued unabated. Twelve years ago people were willing to give Muslims the benefit of doubt when our leaders insisted, "Jihad means peaceful struggle." The majority of peaceful Muslims in the world must confront the violent minority, If they do not, their public utterances should be viewed with suspicion and politicians of all stripes must consider them persona non-grata.
