Dear Evelyn, Are you ready to take your passion for freedom to the next level? Thanks to your hard work, we have had some success in stopping bad legislation at the state Capitol, but the best bills have been bottled up in committee. Now IS the time to go beyond a few legislative victories and become the change we want to see. Yes, I am asking you – have you considered running for elected office? Now that the legislative season is over, the campaign season is starting to heat up. Across Georgia, there are many offices up for election, from state races, to city councils, to school boards. You can help increase our movement’s momentum by seeking elective office. As a candidate you will be able to educate the voters about individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, and free markets. Before we go further, I want to make something very clear. Campaign for Liberty is a 501(c)4 organization and as such, current IRS regulations would prohibit us from endorsing your candidacy. But do you really need an endorsement when you will be a champion for the most powerful message in the history of the world? Thanks to you, many elected officials throughout the state are recognizing Georgia Campaign for Liberty as a major grassroots force. They are now aware that you can cause them a lot of pain and grief if they vote against individual liberty or try to violate the Constitution. We have built some great momentum for our movement. But, our Constitution is still being shredded, our liberties are being taken away, our currency is being debased, and our “free markets” are being ever more regulated. Voters are fed up with elected officials raising taxes, borrowing money, and increasing the size of government. Anti-incumbency fever is sweeping the nation. America is fighting back! As Dr. Paul reminds us, “No army can stop a message whose time has come.” I believe the time has now come. The political climate has never been better, especially if you run against an incumbent. If you decide to rise to the challenge, I want you to consider one thing - unless you are the establishment candidate, you just might possibly win!
