THE responsibility to strengthen Zambia’s image as a model of democracy in Africa is in the hands of the citizenry, says Panos Institute Southern Africa executive director Lilian Kiefer. “As the country goes to polls on Tuesday, all political actors and the public must uphold peace and exercise great responsibility to ensure the smooth election of the next Republican president. We all have a responsibility to strengthen Zambia’s image as a peaceful country, as a model of African democracy.
