THE tables have turned as far as celebrated UAAP couple Kiefer Ravena and Mika Reyes are concerned. With the basketball season over and volleyball taking the spotlight in the second semester, Ateneo star Ravena has been reduced into a spectator while Reyes and the De la Salle Lady Spikers bid to regain the womens volleyball title they lost to the Lady Eagles last season. Now that he is in the stands, the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball MVP said for reasons he doesn’t know, he gets really nervous watching Reyes play. “Nakakakaba,” Ravena told Spin.ph. “Kinakabahan ako kapag pinapanood ko si Mika. Hindi ko alam kung bakit.” Ravena, who was spotted watching the Lady Spikers opening game of Season 77, said he isnt used to watching from the stands and not being able to pour out his emotions on the court, unlike when he plays basketball. “Siguro dahil hindi mo malabas ‘yung emotions mo. Hindi katulad kapag naglalaro ka, nailalabas mo. Ngayon, support lang talaga sa kanya. ‘Yun lang ang maibibigay ko sa kanya. Hindi naman ako makakalaro para tulungan siya,” Ravena said. Since the two became a couple, the question in the fans’ mind is on who Ravena will root for once Ateneo and La Salle clash on the court - a marquee game scheduled to take place on January 11 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Ravena said she will definitely support Reyes in the game but will still root for his school Ateneo. “Siyempre si Mika ang sinu-support ko pero Ateneo pa rin. Pero si Mika, iba. Kapag naglalaro siya, support kay Mika,” said Ravena. Ravena said they have already talked about that scenario as he looks forward to Reyes playing against the reigning champions Lady Eagles. “Ganun talaga. People are misunderstanding how we talk about things already na kapag Ateneo-La Salle, we cheer for each other but siyempre, loyalty is with your school. “Excited ako to see her play against Ateneo. Hindi naiintindihan ng tao ‘yun. Kami naman, we talk about it. We understand everything,” said Ravena.
