THEME: BEING APPROVED Reading: 2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. There is a difference between proving and being approved. Proving is showing you can, being approved is being commended as one that can. Most of the time we try so much to prove, yet we dont end up being approved. Approval is hastened more by grooming and grooming comes by studying. Look at this ... Genesis 2:5, the Bible says that, God had not let anything to bear fruit, He had not even let the rains to fall! Why? Because there was no man to manage!! Everybody was born with a seed of greatness within them. You dont need to prove that!! Jesus did not need to prove to the devil that He was the Son of God (Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4), yet He had to show Himself approved. And the Bible says in Philippians 2:9, that because of His humility, therefore, now, God has given Him a Name above every other name in heaven, on earth and even beneath the earth! Approval is always given and it comes by studying! Study those that have been approved before you, what did they do? Then do exactly what they did if you cant do better. Then youll be approved too. If you want to become a millionaire, get one millionaire, study him and show yourself approved. It is only a mad man, that does the same thing in the same way and expects different results! If your life must change, then, something has to change. God does not let things grow until there is a manager in place. Until you prove you can manage, then God will let thongs grow! He will let the rains to fall! You can only acquire management skills by studying! You study to show yourself approved. There is a difference between studying and reading. Reading is like smelling some good meal, studying is likened to actually eating the meal. Many people read and think theyve studied, no wonder we have so many learned fools. This season, so many people will be rejected. Because many just celebrate Christmas as a tradition and the better lot do it as a religious obligation. Many churches on Sunday had a Christmas sermon, not because its what God wanted them to hear, but to fulfill traditions and religious norms. We have become people pleasers, we dont want to be wrong, wed rather offend God than people ... We fail to study ... We miss being approved. When you are tossed about by every wind of doctrine, it shows immaturity, (Eph 4:14), maturity is not just growing big, it is also growing wiser. Wisdom comes by studying. God is not moved by seasons and trends and festivities. We need to study ... Whats the reason for the season? Is it just being merry?? Shopping?? Feasting?? Visiting?? ...
