THESE LAST DAYS... Have you noticed that most people nowadays are unthankful? Appreciating favour from others, mostly strangers is not just about saying thank you verbally; of course anyone who has a mouth can bluntly say so without meaning it. How do you treat the favour itself after saying thank you and walking away with it? Are you always happy and confident to share it with others or you dont even remember it or where you forgot it? Do you neglect it as if nothing had happened and ask for more without any meaningful use even if youve got a million, or it looks fresh and useful each time you remember or come in contact with it? Some people will even quarrel with you for favouring them, almost the next minute. If after several favour, you were tested to really know your value system; Can you actually pay for one of those things youve been enjoying free? Finally, how many people gained from that favour you received or how many can you boldly refer? All these and more will show how much you are thankful mostly as a christian. If we are experiencing these great deal of ingratitude among men as stated above, even among Christians; then what are we doing to make sure we purge ourselves of these selfish attitude and behaviour? Jesus did even more than any favour anyone of us could render. His love for us made him to give his life for us; that through his death and resurrection, death and hell should have no power over us. He bought back what we have lost with Adam and has assured us of a more perfect life and a glorious resurrection after this body dies. Just like we dont appreciate people around us who had favoured us, we also refuse to appreciate Jesus! To know whether you appreciate him or not, try to evaluate yourself with those few points above. Would you sincerely do those things for Jesus? Can you publicly declare Am a Christian! Can you?
