THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND THIS SHABBAT, FOLLOWING A HARROWING WEEK IN JERUSALEM Its been a horrid week for Jews, Israelis and, in particular, us Jerusalemites and so I hope youll find this information useful, moving forwards. The widows of the four victims from this weeks terrorist attack in Har Nof wrote a letter, a plea, to focus on love towards one another this coming Shabbat. See a translation of the letter in English at the link. 2. People are requested to bring their guns when they attend synagogue this Shabbat (and I suppose in general right now). 3. For those who keep Shabbat, it seems that you can definitely consider carrying your phone with you on Shabbat if it makes you feel safer. And of course you must use it in instances of pikuach nefesh (bodily danger).
