THINK, NIGERIA THINK! As I was driving through Downtown, Atlanta - TopicsExpress

THINK, NIGERIA THINK! As I was driving through Downtown, Atlanta this morning, I raised up my eyes to behold this historical structure that got me thinking. This was the very Olympic Torch that was burning at the Centennial Olympic Stadium when Nigeria won her World- Class Soccer Cup; The Olympic Gold, about 18 years ago. Then, everyone believed that the Golden era of Nigeria football has come. Its almost two decades now, has any other good thing come out of Nigerian Football Association? Nigeria ASU was on strike during that Olympic glorious moment for almost a year; has this body (Higher Institution Lecturers) buried their hatchets and stopped this nefarious act? There were pot-holes on almost all roads then; I believe there cannot be any more today. Nigeria was just recovering from annulling the fairest ever election of 1993 then; today, has Nigeria grown beyond day-light rigging of elections? Is the health system, economy or is there anything that is better than it was about twenty years ago, today? Think, Nigeria Think! Why has Nigeria not borrowed a good leaf from The United States of America by ensuring that all systems work efficiently and effectively? Instead of coping the good things, Nigerians are busy copying prisons pant-down syndrome, navel-exposing craziness, booty revealing madness and boob-popping malady. No single American will park 3 new cars in their garage as private cars, but a Nigerian can own 12 or more brand new cars at the same time. What a wasteful life-style Nigerians live? Two cases of Ebola disease were brought into America, and there has not been a single transmission nor death, and there will possibly never be. A single case only came into Nigeria, and it will only take the Mercy of God for it not to turn into an epidemic. Instead of harnessing everything possible to stop this deadly disease, Nigeria is declaring a state of emergency. Has the state of emergency declared on the issue surrounding about 200 missing young girls yielded any positive result? Is anything getting better in Nigeria? Think, Nigeria think!
