THIS FRIDAY at 6:30 before the Rio Mesa-Camarillo 40th meeting, we will be honoring the 1984 CIF Champion Camarillo Scorpions that upset Ventura 16-14 at the LA Colliseum for its first CIF football title. We will read a special tribute and present Scorpion hats to those players who come. We would love to have ANY of the players from that team meet in front of the cement bleachers at 6:15 so we can be ready by 6:30. If you know any of them that would like to participate please let them know to just show up. Jim Bittner who was our bruising RB that season is now the head coach at Rio Mesa so it will make it more interesting, Jim was the Scorpion JV coach last season and was 10-0. He beat RM :) 30 years ago our city was electrified by the 84 team that went all the way for their thousands of loyal fans! We are looking forward to remembering them this coming Friday
