THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE UNBELIEVERS WHO CLAIM THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN - TopicsExpress

THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE UNBELIEVERS WHO CLAIM THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY A BUNCH OF UNEDUCATED GOATHERDS! The writers of the Bible most certainly were NOT uneducated men! (Note: They all knew how to write!) The first five books of the Bible were written by Moses, who was brought up as a prince in Egypt and received a princely education. He lived in the palace for forty years and was schooled in all the sciences of the Egyptians, who were unsurpassed in those days. As the adopted son of an Egyptian princess, Moses could have become a Pharaoh, but he chose rather to be identified with his biological family. King David wrote the Psalms, which are not only poetry, but prophecy. He was a talented poet and song writer. King David was a shepherd boy, but that did not mean that he was uneducated. He would have received the required education of all Jewish boys. Education was a priority for the Jewish people. Young Jewish boys started formal education at the age of five; and it was the custom for young men to attach themselves to a local teacher to increase their education. King Solomon, who wrote The Song of Solomon (also called The Song of Songs) and the book of Proverbs, was especially known for his wisdom, his writing skills, and his musical giftedness. Solomon was the son of David and grew up in the palace where he would have received the best of educations. He was king of Israel for 40 years. Daniel was known as a man of light and understanding and wisdom (Daniel 5:11), having an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts (Daniel 5:12). Darius, the king of Persia, made Daniel a commissioner. Paul, who wrote many of the New Testament epistles, was an educated man. Though a Jew, he was a Roman citizen. He received both a Jewish education and a Roman education. The writers of the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - had also received schooling. Luke was the only non-Jewish writer of the Bible. He was a master of Hebraic and classical Greek, and he was a physician who had a scientific education. Luke has been called a historian of the first rank. John, who was an apostle of Christ, and who wrote the Gospel of John as well as the three epistles and the book of Revelation, was a prominent and educated man. It is said that he could translate words from other languages. The Jewish leaders claimed that Peter could not have written in the extremely good Greek used in his epistles, and they perceived that they [Peter and John] were unlearned and ignorant men (Acts 4:13). This simply means that they had not had a formal rabbinical training, though they would have had the usual intense schooling of Jewish boys; but on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit indwelled the disciples of Christ and miraculously caused them to speak in other languages, after which they spread out across the world to share the Gospel. (The fact is, a formal education is not a prerequisite for intelligence or wisdom.) The true writer of the Scriptures is God Himself. All scripture is given by inspiration of God (II Timothy 3:16) - i.e., it is literally God-breathed. This means that God overshadowed the minds and spirits of the human writers and motivated them to write His precise words. Scripture is rightly called Gods Word, because its source is God, breathed from His very mouth. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=10201675093310720&set=pb.1581266387.-2207520000.1403871163.&type=3&theater
