THIS IS HOW SRI LANKAN CITIZENS FROM ALL PATH FEEL ABOUT CHANNEL 4 LIARS..... Leading News from Sri Lanka:: * Protesting Sri Lankans halt train carrying Britains Channel 4 director Wed, Nov 13, 2013, 01:33 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Nov 13, Anuradhapura: Nearly a thousand of Sri Lankans this morning gathered at the Anuradhapura train station in the North Central province to protest the visit of the controversial director of Britains Channel 4 Callum Macrae. The protesters blocked the Kilinochchi bound train with Macrae onboard at the Anuradhapura train station. The Channel 4 director was travelling to Vavuniya. The train, which was scheduled to leave Anuradhapura station around 10:15, was unable to leave due to protesters blocking the rail tracks, local media reported. However, the latest reports say the police have advised the Channel 4 crew to return to Colombo due to security concerns as there will be more protests if they proceed. On Monday a group calling themselves the Movement to Promote National Harmony protested Macraes arrival at the Colombo airport. A group of around 200 individuals gathered near the departure terminal and protested issuing visa to the Channel 4 crew. The No Fire Zone director has drawn ire of Sri Lankans and the government for his documentaries on alleged war crimes committed by Sri Lankan troops during the last phase of Sri Lankas war against the Tamil Tiger terrorists. Macrae and the Channel 4 television crew are in the island to cover the Commonwealth Summit.
