THIS IS HOW WE ARE GOING TO EVENTUATE AND RUN AFFIRMATIVE REPOSITIONING COMMUNITIES AND TOWNSHIPS 4 January 2014 1. Like all things there are First Things First; The foundational and fundamental thing to be done is to OCCUPY the land that is there and exist in abundance. Indeed, land that was not created by anyone nor was it manufactured by any factory on earth. The First Step is to TAKE the LAND and TAKING we will TAKE the LAND. 2. While there is going to be many options to be explored the one that we are sure about is what will happen if leaders dont take us serious within a prescribed period. In that case we will usher in Affirmative Repositioning communities. 3. The second principle, following the first enabling principle of Land Access and Ownership through Affirmative Repositioning, is that of LITTLE YOU HAVE. This basically mean that our people who will have occupied the land will not be forced to build expensive structures in a short period. They will take their own time. They will take it one day at a time. With their little money and hustle they will buy what they can when they can. LITTLE YOU HAVE means you buy a block of bricks this months, next month you buy a door, next month is a window until one day you would have finished buying all your materials. Okadhila oha ka yala noluhozi lumwe. 4. ENERGY is one of the important undertakings for the Affirmative Repositioning communities cannot exist without energy. Currently it is the Municipality that has the monopoly of electricity which is very expensive. It has been established that Namibia is one of the few, if not the only country on earth that receive sufficient Sun. The potential of Solar energy in Namibia has been researched, established and confirmed. Affirmative Repositioning Communities will be encouraged to buy Solar Pannels for household use. By using solar they do not NEED municipality to supply them with electricity. They will be free from electricity bills. 5. The other is Sewerage and Sanitation services. It has now been established that VTCs and private vocational schools have produced 1 000s and 1000s many many PLUMBERS of which many of them are unemployed. To put up an independent Sewerage system not connected to that of Municipality costs between N$ 5 000 and N$ 10 000 MAXIMUM. These are the very systems the RICH and ELITE are using at their farms, villages and ranches outside the cities. Our people will make use of these systems. Our youth that plumbers and unemployed will put up these systems throughout Affirmative Repositioning Communities. Youth that have sewerage companies will then go around Affirmative Repositioning Communities with their pumping trucks collecting the Sewage. Truth is that pumping of Sewage will only happen maybe three times a year while for the Municipality you pay every month whether you used your toilet or not. This is another opportunity for financial freedom in Affirmative Repositioning communities and freeing our people of municipality bills. 5. WATER; we currently have youth that specialized in WATER and related fields studying the Water Aquifer around Windhoek. They are exploring prospects of underground water and the water table. The concept under study is that of One Borehole per 10 000 Square-meters for use by the Houses within that area. Affirmative Repositioning Communities within each 10 000 Square-meters will pull resources together for this purpose. All these houses will be advised to have Water storage systems and containers to harvest water during the rainy season just to supplement, only to supplement. We are exploring this option just in case Namwater refuses to supply water to our people which is not possible. Just in case they choose to be funny. Should it come to this, our people will also gain freedom from municipality water bills. 6. Many of our youth can build but are in the street with their skills. It is envisaged that single pockets of our builders will get opportunity to build houses, at grassroot level, negotiating prices, processes and prospects with home owners directly on a one on one basis with NO TENDERS and middlemens. Our youth that are making bricks, ordinary bricks, will be encouraged to start producing bricks, many ordinary bricks, to build Affirmative Repositioning Houses. 7. We will launch a local and International fundraising and advocacy campaigns aimed at collecting funds that will directly go towards provision of Solar Panels, Sewerage Systems and Water Supplies. In the main and at the present, plans are at an Advanced stage for International Advocacy and Fundrising trips which will start in March 2015. 8.
