THIS IS LONG: I got a call from the school a few weeks ago. Brook had an accident during class. I got there and took her home because it was already 2:00 when it happened and 2:20 by the time I got there. I asked Brook what happened. She said she asked to use the restroom but was told no by her teacher. So I sent and email to the teacher and asked what happened and I told her that Brook felt that she wasnt allowed to go to the restroom which is unacceptable. The teacher sent me an email back saying that Brook did ask and the teacher said yes she could go and that while Brook was signing out of class she had an accident in the front of class. Then the teacher sent me another email 2 minutes later saying that she had the sign out sheet and it proved that Brook was signing out as she had the accident and she had been allowed to go to the restroom. Then the next day I get 2 papers home from the day that Brook left school early and they both have failing grades... I asked Brook about it and she said she was doing that work when she left school because of the accident. So she wasnt able to complete the work. I went to the principal. I told her that my daughter felt she wasnt able to go to the restroom and Brook will actually tell you that her teacher told her NO she couldnt go to the restroom. Then I showed the principal the papers with the failing grades. The principal said she would handle it. About 3 hours later I get a call from the teacher. It was the most cordial and professional FU Ive ever received from anyone. Probably because she called from a school phone. Since then I have had little issues with this teacher. For instance she gave Brook a c on a spelling paper because she misspelled words in sentences. She did not misspell any of her spelling words but she did misspell some of the other words in 3 sentences. Last week I let the kids teachers know by email that they would be missing school on friday. All the teachers were happy for the kids to have a little break and none of them have missed one day of school so far this year. Brooks teacher forwarded the email to the principal and VP and asked them how she should respond. They told her to inform me that it would be an unexcused absence. So she forwarded their response to me and told me to read it. I sent the email to the teachers so they could send home any work they would miss and we could do it over the weekend. Brook brought home 10 pages of work today to be done by tomorrow morning. Her teacher did not send home any instructions. There were literally 3 blank sheets of notebook paper that I had no clue what to do with them. There were two tests that I had to administer and one was over stuff she should have learned on friday... WHAT DO I DO?
