THIS IS NOT AN ANGELS DOG but we felt compelled to help and when you hear this girls story, we know you will want to help too. While we are unable to take a dog that must be an only child at this time due to limited space, we KNOW there is someone out there with no other pets that will give this sweetie a home. Every day we hear stories but this one really broke our hearts. A young girl is trying to the best she can for a dog that shes had most of her life through terrible struggles. Please hear her cry and help her if you can. If not, please share. This is her story: I am trying to find a home for my dog Lucy. I grew up with Lucy for eight years and I consider her as one of my family members. I have had some unfortunate events happen to me in the past couple of years. Me, Lucy, my mom, and my dad lived together. Two years ago my dad died of cancer. My mom is a drug addict and she is in a nursing home. So now it is just me living in a friends basement with no place for my dog to go. She unfortunately doesnt get along with other pets very well and where I live they have several pets. They do not want me to keep Lucy because of it and I dont know of anybody that will take her. I have spent hours dropping off flyers with no luck. I have been told by a lot of people to put Lucy in a pound or leave her on the street somewhere. I refuse to do this to my little baby! I will live on the streets if I have to so that I can keep her safe. She doesnt deserve to die because of my family. And she is an awesome dog. I honestly feel like sometimes I care about Lucy more than I do about my mom when she ended up in a nursing home because she was not fit anymore to take care of herself. Lucy cant take care of herself like my mom could have so that is why. Also my dad loved Lucy and she reminds me so much of him and I think my dad would hate it if Lucy was put down at a pound. All I want is for my baby to be in a loving home. Call me at 404-719-3194 Also, please remember that this is a young girl and we need to focus on HELPING her and the dog she loves so much.
