THIS JUST IN FROM EMHS (Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems): This morning, EMHS experienced a systemwide outage with our information systems. Email and other internal systems are currently down. The EMHS Information Systems team is working to resolve the issue. We have a well-developed downtime plan that has resulted in little interruption to patient care. At EMMC, all elective procedures are being considered on a case-by-case basis, with a focus on maintaining a high level of patient safety. In the event an outpatient procedure or appointment is canceled, staff members are reaching out to patients. In addition, Miller Drug is currently only able to accept cash as a result of the down time.
