THIS LIFE IS SHORT: I was born and raised in a small village. I went to sports activities at Nyamache. A wonderful rural Kenya sports center. I was young and naive. My mother had told me not to go for sports day at Nyamache. I did not like it. My mother was the enemy that day. Why not I was only a bad boy needing sports day real bad. I could anything to go to sports day. I prayed that I go. The good news to me came. I was a young elementary school boy. "Now you can go for your sports." My mother said tears flowing from her eyes. "My mother is dead." She said. I went to Nyamache with all kids from my schools. My school did very well. It was all fun. My mother was mourning her mom. I was naive and only a child. When you are naive important things mean nothing to you. Last night Kenya time. Breaking news about Nyamamche flashed on Kenyan television. It was all about sports. I was excited to hear about my near home sports center. I wanted to hear the news. Nyamache! The sports center. It was about sports but not the news I wanted to hear. "School children and two teachers dead." The bus lost breaks and also lost control. The driver died too. From the joy of sports to the mourning spirit. My heart goes to Kisii people especially those parents who lost children in that earl evening accident. You the teachers who were imparting education to the little children. You left them and also you left your own children. You are the heroes of our time. We remember and we pray for your children. Kisii is mourning. The president and his deputy are mourning. Thank you the Leaders who have identified with the Kisii people while they are mourning. Thank you Raila former PM for not letting distance keep you away from the people who are hurting. God bless you leaders who are there for those mourning. Thank you friends who have taken time from round the world to pray with the hurting families in Kisii. When you come home to your family: Praise God and pray with thanks giving. Life is short. You do not know about tomorrow. You have this moment. the Lord has the destiny. Keep walking as you await your day. It comes any time. If I sound confused, it is because I am. Losing so many children to an accident: What is not confusing about it? Please pray for those families are known to me or somebody close to me. God be with you as you pray for these families with me. God bless you people in Kisii. We are together in prayer.
