Wednesday November 26 6:30-8:30pm In this introductory class, Homeopathic Nurse Katie Kiemeny, R.N., DCH, CCH (Cand.), will explain safety and efficacy of homeopathic remedy use during labour and birth. She will introduce you to the history of Homeopathy and potency, as well as individual remedy pictures. If you are planning a C-section, this class is also useful for assisting with postpartum surgical recovery. Materials are designed to be an excellent quick reference for your labour and delivery. Katie is a traditionally trained Registered Nurse, and holds a current registration with The College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. She specialized in obstetrics in the last 10 years, working in labour and delivery in Calgary, as well as teaching Natural Childbirth with the Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth. Katie is a graduate of the Western College of Homeopathic Medicine and has completed 5 years of clinical training with Linda Miller, DCH, CCH, RSHom (NA). Cost is $80 for the seminar. Pre-made remedy kits containing the 18 remedies discussed in the seminar will be available for purchase during regular store hours (note that kits will not be available for purchase during the seminar). These are hard sided, zippered cases perfect for keeping your birthing remedies with you. Retail cost for the 18 remedies and case is over $180; your cost as a seminar participant is $125.
