THIS WEEKEND, On a mountain top near YOU! Come fight frolic and sing and dance, and throw stuff, and shoot things (with arrows), and have a grand old time with the Shire of Mountain Edge! This is my very first event that I have EVER stewarded in 33 years of playing in the SCA. I have to say, I REALLY APPRECIATE people who Steward Events! I always did, but my respect for each and every one of the folks who have done it is greatly increased! That out of the way, COME PLAY!!!! Well have Royalty at this event. In FACT, well have THE Royalty at this event. Their Majesties of An Tir are camping at Acorn War. Everyone within a 1000 miles who is anyone should come to the event, and give greetings to them! We are pleased to have a unique youth activity this year, so BRING (tabletop) Siege Engines! Also bring any little medieval soldiers to be the targets... Well be shooting at little warriors guarding the castles.... Then we swap sides, and try it again. Who will win? Who knows! Everyone who has fun will win. This will take place near the main court yard (unless we find a better place). A little dancing on Saturday Night is always fun... But NO DISCO! (this is a medieval event after all....) Bardic presentation at dusk to whenever! Listen for it, and come enjoy. What can I say, despite this being my first time as an Event Steward, , Acorn War has always been a highlight of each year for me. Come see whats so nice about Acorn War.
