THIS is what I am referring to when I suggest you advocate for your dog. Say your dog is leash reactive, and barks, or lunges on leash toward other dogs or people. Step in and push that pressure away. Doing this will create MASSIVE amounts of respect and good behavior from your own dog. Kensi has an excellent state of mind here. I am all about protecting her and her calm state of mind. So with my left foot, I press the other invasive dog out of Kensis space. Rushing into another dogs face is not a safe method of greeting another dog. Unbalanced dogs behave by rushing into another dogs face. Your job as the handler is to protect your dog. I love how Kensi trusts me enough here, to let me handle it all for her.
