==#THIS_IS_AbdAllah_Ibn_MasoodRA== 1- He is Abdullāh ibn Masūd ibn Ghāfil ibn Habib ibn Shamkh ibn fār ibn Makhzūm ibn Sāhilah ibn Kāhil ibn Al-Hārith ibn.. Abdullah Ibn Masood was of the tribe of Banu Huzail and was also the sworn ally of Banu Zahra. Abdullah Ibn Masood was of the tribe of Banu Huzail Abdullah bin Mas’ud: “He was thin in nature, short, and did not dye his hair.” “He was handsome and wise.” People called him ‘Ibn Umm Abd’, the son of the mother of a slave. His real name was Abdullah & his fathers name was Masud It was Allah’s bounty on him that he was counted among the first ten Companions of the Prophet ﷺ who were promised to enter Paradise while they were still alive. Abdullah Ibn Masood RA was one of the most knowledgeable of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ Before the Prophet ﷺ entered Daar Al-Arqam, lbn Masud رضي الله عنه had declared his belief in him. He was the sixth one to embrace Islam and follow the Prophet ﷺ. Thus he was one of the early Muslims... and he remained closely attached to the Prophet ﷺ. Abdullah ibn Masud رضي الله عنه was so close to the Prophet ﷺ , that some people thought he was from his household Ibn Masood was so close to the Prophet ﷺ he used to wake him from his sleep and shield him whilst he bathed He was so attached to the Prophet ﷺ, that he was known for serving his basic needs such as carrying his siwak and his staff he followed RasulAllah so closely and emulated him that it was said he was closest to the Prophet in character Abdullah ibn Masud رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ عنه • devout worshipper • amongst the best reciters • strong courageous fighter He participated in all the battles, and on the Day of Badr his role was significant, You will find the commentary of Abdullahi Ibn Masud & Abdullahi Ibn Abbas on almost all ayahs of the Quran in tafsir 1- Abdullāh ibn Masūd رضي الله عنه said By (Allāh), none has the right to be worshipped but Him, there is no Sūrah in.. 2-..Allāhs Book except that I know where it was revealed. & there is no Verse except that I know what it was revealed about 3-.. & were I to know about anyone who is more knowledgable than me concerning Allāhs Book & who can be reached by camels 1- It is reported that Abdullāh ibn Masūd رضي الله عنه said I took 70 Sūrahs from the mouth of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ..& none can contend with me about them (Ahmad, 1/379) On shortening the prayer Abdullah bin Masud I offered (only a) two Rakat prayer with the Prophet (at Mina),&similarly with Abu Bakr and with Umar, and then you d offered in opinions. Wish that I would be lucky enough to have two of the four Rakat accepted (by Allah). Abdullah Ibn Masud legs will weigh more than the mountain of Uhud on the scale(mizaan) on the day of Judgement 1-One day, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ordered Abdullāh ibn Masūd رضي الله عنه to climb an Arāk tree, in order to bring down a Siwāk for him 2- As Abdullāh was climbing, his calves became exposed & seeing the extreme thinness of his them the Sahabah رضي الله عنه began to laugh 3- The Prophet ﷺ said, By the One Who has my soul in His Hand, the two calves of Abdullāh will be stronger & mightier on the Day of Abdullah ibn Masood gave up tending to the sheep to meeting the need of the prophet (ﷺ) Abdullah Ibn Masood RA used to work for a man known as Uqba Ibn Abi Muayt Abdullah ibn Masood was often referred to as Saheb e Siwak (bearer of the sisal) by the sahabah for his role Umar ibn al khattab If I were to appoint someone as a leader without consulting, I would appoint Ibn UmmiAbd (Ibn Masood) Abdullah ibn Masud was also a strong and courageous fighter, one who became deadly serious when the occasion demanded it. Quraish went and beat Abdullah RA in the face while he was reciting till he finished whatever Allah wished him to recite. Abdullah ibn Masud returned with a wounded face/body, companions told him, This is what we were afraid would happen to you. Those enemies of Allah ha e never been more worthless to me than this moment & if you wish i will go back to them and do the same tomorrow Abdullah ibn Masuds RA companions said, No, it is enough for you. You have made them hear what they hated. Abdullah Ibn Masood RA came from a very poor background in Makkah When Umar offered Abdullah a salary too. Abdullah refused and said, ‘Why do you try to turn me to the world.’ Abdullāh b. Masʿūd [ra] said: There is no comfort or rest for the believer until he meets Allāh. Ibn Masud cut off the head of Abu Jahl and brought it to the Prophet ﷺ and he ﷺ began to to praise Allah : الله أكبر... Abdullah Ibn Masood RA was one of the most knowledgeable of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ Abdullah ibn Masood was the first reciter of the Quran and was known for his in-depth knowledge of the shariah. He went on reciting while the Quraish were thunderstruck, not believing their own eyes or ears. Umar ibn al-Khattab said regarding Abdullah Ibn Masud: A small person brimming with the knowledge of jurisprudence. Abdullah ibn Masud(R A) was the first companion to recite Quran in public after Rasoolullah ﷺ It was a pleasure for the Prophet ﷺ to hear Quraan being recited from the mouth of Ibn Masuud. RasulAllah Whoever wants 2 read d Quran as fresh as when it was revealed let him read according recitation of Ibn Umm Abd. Rasul said learn the Quran from 4people; Abdullah Ibn Masud, Muadh Ibn Jabal, Ubayy Ibn Kab & Salim Mawla Abi Hudayfah Abdullah ibn Masud رضي الله عنه was a close companion of the Prophet ﷺ, & one of those who narrated many ahadith from him Hudhayfa narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whatever Abdullah Ibn Masud narrates to you, accept it. Rasulullah ﷺ said: I am pleased for my Umma with whatever Abdullah Ibn Masu’d رضي الله عنه is pleased with. The most barren house is the one in which the Quran is not recited. ~ Abdullah Ibn Masud Indeed,Allah endowed him with knowledge till he became the most learned of this Ummah and the best 1 to know Qur’an by heart. 🙈 Nothing is more deserving of being locked away other than the tongue. ~ Abdullah ibn Masud (radiAllahu anhu) Abdullāh ibn Masūd (ر): “True faith is to not try to please other people by doing things which are displeasing to Allah.” Abdullahi Ibn Masud RA never took authority from Israilliyat sources; just Quran and Hadith strictly. Abdullāh ibn Masūd رضي الله عنه died in Al-Madinah, in the year 32 H. His age at death is known between 63 ~ 69. And we seek Allahs mercy to join us with Ibn Masud ( رضي الله عنه) in Firdous Amiin
