THOROUGHLY CONVINCED THURSDAY SCRIPTURE TEACHING LESSON FROM THE LORD By Elder Quincy Brown TOPIC: EQUIPPED TO LIVE! Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. John 14:1 ¶Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ephesians 6:10 ¶Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Matthew 6:9 ¶After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 16 ¶Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. 19 ¶Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. FROM ALL POINTS THERE WILL BE A REVERENCE & AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GOD! EVEN IF YOU KNOW THERE IS OPPOSITION TRYING TO COME IN WITH THE APPEARANCE OF VICTORY, WHO GOD IS, HIS ESSENCE, HIS PLAN, HOW HE WORKS, WHO HE IS WILL ALLOW US TO STAND UP, GET UP & MANUEVER ACCORDING TO HIS WILL & BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN OUR VICTORY! GOD WILL GIVE US DIRECTION & A WAY OF ESCAPE EVEN WITH THE TROUBLE THERE. YOU WILL BE WELL EQUIPPED TO HANDLE THE CHALLENGE! DAVID, WHO WAS SMALL, RUDDY & HAIRY, WAS GIVEN THE CHALLENGE OF A BEAR & A LION & HE CONQUERED THEM BOTH! GOD HAS EMPOWERED US TO BE VICTORIOUS! GOD GAVE DAVID THE BEAR & THE LION TO PREPARE HIM FOR HIS NEXT OPPOSITION WHICH WAS GOLIATH WHO WAS GREATER THAN ANY OTHER THING THAT HE HAD ALREADY FACED! THERES NOTHING THAT SUPERCEDES GODS PROVEN TRACK RECORD WHICH GOES PAST ALL COMPREHENSION! NO MATTER WHAT OR IS PRESENTED DONT LET YOUR SPIRIT BE TROUBLED! GOD GIVES THE GIFT OF HIS PEACE & HE KNOWS THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE NEED! TRANSITIONS WILL OCCUR! LIFE WILL OCCUR! WE SHALL ALWAYS BE VICTORIOUS! GOD HAS A CUSTOMED MADE ARMOUR JUST FOR YOU! LET JESUS CHRIST TEACH YOU HOW TO PRAY! THIS IS A REMINDER OF THE COVENANT IN HIM! GOD GIVES YOU HIS WISDOM & DIRECTION!
