THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE WITH EOSINOPHILIC DISORDERS: This is going to sound crazy so please just bear with me. I am a 37 year old female who has EoE. I have been diagnosed with this since this year. I have found out some of my food allergies but not all and I know I have tons more. I am officially allergic to Dairy, Eggs, Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Tree nuts, Peanuts, Sesame, Corn, Caffeine. I know Im allergic to Raw and cooked Potatoes, Raw Vegetables and Raw Fruits, Honey, and Turkey. Right now Im pretty much surviving off of applesauce. It seems to be the only processed fruit that I can have. Rice and Beans have to be really really cooked! I have never been much of a meat eater. But now my dietitian wants me to purree meat. I have had these issues since I was a little kid. and saying little is an understatement. At 10 years old I weighted 32 lbs. They didnt know what was wrong with me. They didnt feeding tubes at that time. They did do xrays and stuff but that only showed that I would be 52 except that Im 410. Can I really live on eating rice, beans and applesauce? I now have to manage my life around my EoE. I know there is more available out there for me. That there is a life but the only way I can see that happening is if I have a NG tube or G tube placed. I understand that having a tube is difficult and that it brings its one set of problems. My dad had a PEG tube for numerous years due to cancer. So I know from having to feed him and take care of his stoma. But what should I do? I see no other way out there. To top it all off I already Trigeminal Neuralgia so chewing food is a very painful experience too. Any suggestions? Thanks
