THOT OF THE WEEK HOLD ON TO YOUR WORD There is a story found in Luke 8 from verse 22, that states that Jesus entered into a vessel with His disciples and said unto them: Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. Your soul is like a vessel that sails on the sea of time. When Jesus entered that boat He changed the course of the disciples, He gave them a purpose and a destination. The purpose and destination was in form of a word that said; “you are going somewhere.” (Let us go over to the other side). The disciples got a word of purpose that assured them of their destination. That word made them unsinkable. That doesn’t mean they were to have an easy life or never go through a storm. The word was to carry them through the storm, hold them up, and make them unsinkable. Since your life is like that vessel with Jesus in, listen carefully to His word and then hold on to that word. If He says to you let’s go to the other side, the other side you shall go. The storms may rise but He will carry you through, hold you up and make you unsinkable. May be today Jesus is telling you cheer up, be healed, conquer, prosper, persevere, keep walking, try again, don’t be troubled, fear not etc. But the storms are threatening, hold on to your word. That word from Jesus will make you fireproof, invisible, unsinkable, and unbeatable. • For some of us the enemy would have killed us, but we have a word we are holding on to. • Debt would have sunk us, but we have a word we are holding onto. • Family turmoil and strife would have capsized our vessels but we have a word we are holding onto. • Depression, fear and anxiety would have swallowed us up, but we have a word we are holding onto. What word are you hearing from the Lord, are you holding on to it? Bishop Tee Nalo
