THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – From Self centeredness to God centeredness – Prayer life style Dear ALL, Self Centeredness brings about much selfishness….selfish desires….boastfulness….pride…ego….world that is limited to myself & my family nothing more than that. Whereas a Cross is God centeredness ….HIS purpose…..HIS grace abounding in our lives….HIS agape love….and God’s salvation for mankind. We have to die daily to self…no matter how strong it might be and how dear it might be to us….that HIS power might be manifested in us (2 Corin. 4:11). HIS prayer was “Let your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven’. The kingdom of God is not just meat and drink ….but righteousness and peace and joy in the holy spirit (Romans 14:17). There is no darkness in HIS kingdom …….for HE is the light of the world. Many times instead of seeking HIS kingdom to reign in us….we seek to have our own kingdom….thereby bringing troubles….instead of sowing love…we sow hatred….become jealous….envy. The enemy takes strong hold of our lives because we have our own kingdom established within us....built on the foundation of our own righteousness…good deeds we do…and so on….which can be easily shaken but HIS kingdom cannot be shaken. Our father who art in heaven….hallowed be your name…… (Mathew 6:9). - Instead of praising about ourselves….we ought to praise HIM (hallowed be HIS name). - Let your kingdom come…without a thirst…HIS kingdom cannot be established in us…when we praise HIM…we feel HIS angels joining us in singing praises to the one who lives forever. - Give us this day our daily bread (both physical as well as spiritual) man shall not live by bread only but by every word that proceedeth out of HIS mouth. You will not see the children of righteousness begging for food (Ps. 37:25 ). Even though HE was rich…yet HE became poor that we through HIS poverty might be rich (2 Corin. 8:9). - HE will deliver us from all evil. Prayer when changed from being more self centeredness to God centeredness; as Jesus himself taught us to follow….we begin to taste HIS kingdom right here on this earth as it is heaven. God bless! John Isaac..
