THOUGHTS, ADVICE, OR INFORMATION PLEASE. I am reposting my son and daughter-in-laws status update to see if anyone on my page can help with advice or information. Status Update By Candace Byron So after our visit to the Dr. yesterday we have decided that we would like to share our experience with our friends and family and feel that this is the best way to keep everyone up to date and as informed as possible as to our progress as well as to spread the word about infertility (1 in 10 women are affected by infertility). Craig and I have decided to seek the help of Reproductive Science Center of New England to help us start a family! I have a rare Chromosome Translocation involving my X & 4 chromosomes which has affected my hormones in turn effected my reproductive organs, Leaving us unable to conceive on our own. We will begin the process by checking my ovaries to see if i have any eggs of my own and my uterus to make sure there are no abnormalities to help us figure out where to go from here. Also fun fact Tufts health insurance tests for ciggarettes because they wont cover you for fertility treatments if you smoke. So the Dr. tells me i need to cut my coffee down to 1-2 cups a day and quit smoking butts 2-3 weeks before the testing :/ We welcome any questions comments and well wishes/prayers/baby mojo lol
