THURSDAY EVE UPDATE: Hey all. Strong system is heading our way tomorrow night and Saturday morning as youve all heard. This comes with a good deal of cold air. Rain will be the primary concern across the Piedmont and Triad, but wet snowflakes could mix-in at times; almost unheard of for Nov. 1st. For the mountains, snow will be a real concern. Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for the Blue Ridge where high winds will occur and snow will accumulate. Again, sticking snow is not expected for the Triad, but a wet / windy / cold day lies ahead for Sat. FYI - The all-time record for earliest snowfall in the Triad is November 1st.
