THURSDAY OCTOBER 17TH Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD Theme: Boldly Say What God Has Said… Scriptural Ref: Hebrews 13:5-6 ...For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6). When it comes to declaring the Word of God, you have to be unflinching; be bold to say what God has said about you. The Word in your mouth is God talking, and has inherent power to produce what it says. When you speak the Word with the boldness of the Spirit, things change. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:31 that the Apostles were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word with boldness. What was it they said that passed as the Word of God? In this context, whatever they might have said about themselves, on the basis of what God has said, is the Word of God. It also implies preaching; being bold to affirm the Gospel. The Apostle Peter for one, on the day of Pentecost, declared the Word of God with such boldness that three thousand souls were saved after they heard him speak. Peter’s words were so impregnated with divine energy that it pricked the hearts of his hearers: “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). Never be timid about the Word; declare it at all times with boldness. Be bold to declare who you are, what you have, and what God has accomplished for you in Christ. For example, 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Therefore, be bold to declare that you’ve been made righteous; you’re the proof of His goodness and equity. Speak boldly in consonance with that word, declaring to everyone that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Even now, make bold confessions of the Word about yourself! Declare that you’re in Christ: in Him you live and move, and have your being! You reign with Him in the realms of glory; you’re a victor, and your life is for the glory of God! CONFESSION: Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. I’m living the life of glory and excellence through the power of God’s Spirit. I’m reigning as a king in life, having received abundance of grace, and the gift of righteousness. Halleluiah.
