TIMING IS EVERYTHING! A dear friend in Christ recently sent me a wonderful prophetic word of encouragement to which my reply was probably surprising. Praise God! The encouraging message, IS, that God desires each of us to seek a level of intimacy that is beyond what we can comprehend in the flesh. AMEN! Friend, God DESIRES a personal and CLOSE relationship with EVERY child of His. My friend continued, and I paraphrase God is looking to use those who are NOT seeking a crown, but ARE seeking a KING! Friend, you could mediate on just that point and be incredibly blessed by it. It just happened that I received this encouraging message on a day when I was on yet another journey of repentance. Hear this verse. And the LORD said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live Numbers 21:8. Praise God friend, I dont know about you but Im THANKFUL when God continues to point to something in my life and say Child, THIS is keeping you from the promises I have for you. Praise God! When I am BITTEN by whatever it is that is keeping me from that intimacy He desires, I can ONLY live IF I SEE IT and REPENT! I know there are those who believe you can reach sainthood instantly in a second work of grace, and there are without a doubt saints who have indeed. But for me, its going to take a while longer and at my current pace, itll happen at exactly that moment when I am received up into His Glory! I have to confess, thereby agreeing with God that I see the problem as He sees it. Then, I have to repent. And I have to KEEP that commitment to God...of repentance...until He supplies the grace for me to be rid of it. Praise God! But with every victory, the view becomes clearer. Repentance takes time, sometimes a long time. Pray for me as I pray for you. God is SO GOOD!
