TIP OF THE DAY: If you play a lot on line, or on the computer, you will develop the very bad habit of relying on the screen to give you the pip count. Then, when you play over the board, you will not have a very good awareness of the race and when you do have to have an accurate count, you will probably be very slow and make mistakes. Turn off that pip count, or dont look at it if you cant turn it off, and you will hone this important skill. If you have not learned counting shortcuts (like cluster counting and colorless counting) you need to do some research and study, as these tools will make counting quicker, more accurate, and even fun.
