Two and half years ago I took up Dragonboat as my first attempt at a competitive sport. I joined it because I could see that the people I met cared so much about it, but I never thought that decision would have led me to where I am now, training 7 days a week many times twice a day in order to compete OVERSEAS in a sport. (Its just hitting me how crazy that is.) Its awesome! Shoutout to UC Irvine Dragon Boat, California United Dragon Boat, and all of you amazing individuals for teaching me how to paddle and continuing to grow with me. Were going to be competing with some of the best Dragonboat teams in the world, but we have to get there first. As many of you already know, I hate asking for help unless I really need it and by then its usually too late. It probably because Im too prideful, but I cant let my pride get in the way of this amazing opportunity so Im asking for help! Haha any and all donations are appreciated! Literally everything helps. Ive never been outside the continental US so this trip is extra expensive for me, but I am pledging myself to do any combinations of 5 pull-ups, 5 burpeess, or 10 push-ups per dollar raised (plus all the hugs and back cracks you can handle!).
