TMP #1527 Lying and Cheating and what it means to your Conscience: The thing about lying and cheating is your actually doing more damage to yourself, than you do to other people. Your Conscience is your balance of right and wrong. When you lie and cheat, you damage the conscience. The harsher the lie the more the conscience becomes seared. As you continue this way of life it becomes calloused over where nothing affects it. Meaning you feel nothing from your decisions. People who rob steal kill, and cheat for a living, have lost the function of their conscience. This isnt a good thing, because it puts you in a bad position with Divine Law. Fortunately their is a way to remedy a damaged conscience. John ch 8 vs 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” You have to speak and live the truth. You pray for forgiveness, and go back in your history and right the wrongs you have done to the best of your ability. Become a beacon to others by helping them find the light. This is called redemption. Over time your Conscience will become strengthened by your actions, and will shake off the callouses that bind it. It will once again function the way it was meant to be. Because living the Truth will set you free.
