TNB POSTIVE SUNDAYS by Yanpvuo Yanfo Kikon Many a times, we wondered why Naga Musicians are so talented yet never go International. Well here is a small report to prove that we are now gradually gaining International followers!! Me and my little bro Liyo Kikon started this small website indihut last year to promote our local musicians and others. We faced a lot of problems since we never studied about eCommerce or web designing in our schools and colleges so we had to learn it ourselves(NAGA STYLE!) by reading on the internet and watching youtube tutorials(Best Free University in the world - Youtube!). Most people in Nagaland are just starting to use internet banking so the response from online buyers was very discouraging especially for our artists who work so hard to produce such wonderful music... But as time went by, we spent our own salary and pocket money to start and maintain the website. After hanging on for almost a year, the website suddenly got a huge blessing starting from last month where we hit almost 10,000 downloads from 32 countries around the world The picture shows the web traffic and download Analytics report for the month of August 2014...and guess what, 9700 downloads on indihut in one month alone!!!!! Right Legend with Colour Codes = List of Countries accessing indihut X-Axis = Some of the listed Aritsts on our website Traffic from various countries Downloading(Clicks/Visits is 10 times more) including Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, Malta, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States 93% of the downloads are from India alone. Above International Downloads constitute only 7% of the total downloads. Analysing the spikes in the graph.. Polar Lights, Moaakum Imsong and We The Giants have potential to hit the International Market... Imsong got more downloads from Korea. Other artists got a huge chunk of downloads are from the US and UK with interestingly a good number of downloads from CHINA surprisingly. TudenMusics new song just released today, so well wait for the analytics to follow in a couple of days..
