TO ALL OUR ENGLISH SPEAKING FOLLOWERS! If each of our supporters donates just 1 euro, we will be able to light the RAINBOW FLAME on 7 February and keep it burning for two weeks. The costs of this project are very high because we need to pay for the stage, the technical equipment, info walls, and the fire vessel. Were asking you to help us help others. Please follow this link and then click on the Donate button: open-your-mouth.eu/we_need_you.html Every donation will be used only to finance this project. If money is left over after the XXII Olympic Winter Games, we will donate the rest to LBGTI projects in Russia. The organizers of ENOUGH is ENOUGH - OPEN YOUR MOUTH are all working as unpaid volunteers, and that goes for the work for RAINBOW FLAME as well. Thank you for your support! P.S.: Here is our press release... What weve all been fearing is now bitter reality: the Olympic Flame is being misused in Sochi as a threat to innocent people and a mockery of human rights. Now its time to keep the promise we made in the Enough is Enough! Open Your Mouth! demonstration last August, and to take a stand together against those who would trivialize hate and persecution. Over the past several weeks many of you have been asking what we are planning for the time of the XXII Winter Olympic Games. Now we can tell you – and we are asking for your support. When the Olympic Flame is being lit during the opening ceremonies in Sochi on 7 February, we are going to light our own flame in the heart of Berlin. And we want to keep the RAINBOW FLAME burning for everyone to see during the entire two weeks of the Winter Games – right at Potsdamer Platz. In the colors of the rainbow, our Flame will burn day and night as a solemn vigil to those being persecuted, and as a meeting place for people to come together and learn about what is happening. The RAINBOW FLAME is an open invitation to everyone in Berlin and beyond. Together, in rotating shifts, we want to guard the Flame as a constant vigil for the entire time of the Olympic Games, and thus send a clear message of solidarity with the LGBTI community around the world: Love is not for propaganda!
