WEB MEMO No Web Memo 11/03/2013 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION - EXPERIENCE Exam Type BEHAVIOR Helper Dog: A0983641 Zoe walks calmly on the leash and was sociable toward the handler during the assessment - soft body, low wag. She was calm and relaxed during handling, but was distracted and focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag interaction. She was stiff and cannot be pushed out of the food bowl, but did not growl, snap or bite. She showed minimal interest in toys and took the rawhide away, but had soft body language. Zoe was relaxed when approaching the helper dog, but was not playful. Look: 1. Dogs eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessors cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dogs mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food: 3. Dog gulps food, begins to eat faster and with bigger bites, body stiff. She does not lift head when hand is applied to cheek. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog may smell or lick, then turns away. Rawhide: 1. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the rawhide. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed. 10/30/2013 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM Medical rating was 4 NC - SEVERE CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, behavior rating was NONE Scan negative.
