A volunteer writes: If there were a little league for dogs, no doubt our Terry would be one of the all-stars. Hes a quick retriever, a splendid fielder, equally responsive to a tossed ball or a thrown ball, a natural delight to watch. And the gentle lean-ins he gives between plays are designed to steal your heart! Being an enthusiastic walker, Terry might benefit from some leash training but he seems to have the potential; at the park he earned a nice smile from a woman, sitting quietly with her dog, when he passed by handsomely with only a cursory glance. Given his nice appearance and manners, Terry was most likely someones cherished companion; he goes once outside, responds to sit, and takes treats gently from my hand. Hes also a happy and curious dog. A perfect day for Terry would be an extend game of fetch, followed by a long walk in the park or neighborhood, and then some quiet time just hanging out with his human friend(s).
