The lovely 2 year old mama is lactating and there are no pups to love and care for anymore. They are gone. “Where are they?”, she must wonder. Carla’s pups were likely torn away from the comfort of their caring mother and she was then abandoned into the ACC. She must be mourning the loss of her little dear ones while suffering the indignity of the hostile sounds and sights of the shelter. How heartbreaking for Carla. How amazing that this sweet throwaway mama allows herself to be mothered by accepting pets and affection from staff and volunteers in her new “home.” Stunning Carla has character and integrity to spare and our hearts are broken for this blue and white pit bull terrier mix. The ACC is not interested in Carla or her story and has placed her on the kill list for tomorrow morning. We can’t allow Carla to be twice let down so mightily. Please share and advocate for this wonderful young lady tonight.
