She was calm and relaxed during handling. Sienna was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She growled and snapped at the assess-a-hand during the food bowl test. She was not interested in toys but she growled and snapped at the assess-a-hand during the rawhide test. Sienna was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Sienna during the handling part of the assessment was very friendly but she shows some guarding issues during the food bowl and rawhide test - growling and snapped the assess-a-hand. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Experience no child home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessors hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dogs mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Nosf A volunteer writes: Sleek, elegant, sophisticated and shy... a little girl in a black coat with copper highlights... Sienna looks up at me with quiet eyes, uncertain eyes, and eyes that ask will you love me?. At first too shy to be loved, Sienna discovers quickly that Im a friend, and snuggles close, burying her head in my lap for loving. After a while she even nuzzles me with her head if Ive let my hand fall idle... Sienna lays down at my feet as I take some notes, quiet, happy to feel safe for the moment. Likely housetrained she went as soon as we were out the door, and while she does pull on the leash, is responsive and eager to please her person. She sits when asked to, takes treats gently, and comes when I call her to me. Sienna loves other dogs and would be happy being part of a canine family. Not interested in chasing a ball or playing with toys, Sienna is content to snuggle close to me, follow me around the pen and be my new bestie. Shyly affectionate Sienna won my heart.
