TO GOV. KSM OF BORNO Before It Becomes Too Late As much as I - TopicsExpress

TO GOV. KSM OF BORNO Before It Becomes Too Late As much as I love KSM (Gov. Kashim of Borno), he must know that he should fear the backlash of ALLAAH. If he chooses silence out of fear that heads will roll should he speak, and prefers instead to watch the lives of his citizens wasted in hundreds, then that backlash will be a sure and certain eventuality. In Islam, leadership is an amanah (a trust) and a responsibility. A leader must discharge his duties towards the people or his followers to as best as he TRULY can, in line with his obligations to God, the Supreme Power (and NOT to any mortal being, whether Goodluck or whatever). The Prophet (SAW) said, Each of you is a shepherd, and all of you are responsible for your flocks. (Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim) So, KSM should discharges his primary responsibility to his teeming, oppressed, and trusting Borno citizens, in line with his obligation to his FIRST, PRIMARY and MOST IMPORTANT reporting line, Allaah. If, however, he ignores or forgets (or is made to ignore or to forget) this, perhaps due to the cut-throat blackmails, high-powered persuations, or unprincipled trade-offs of Nigerian politics, then he might as well prepare for that sure and certain backlash from Allaah. It is He Who hath made you (His) agents, inheritors of the earth: He hath raised you in ranks, some above others: That He may try you in the gifts He hath given you: for thy Lord is quick in punishment: yet He is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Anaam 6:165) Neither covert or open entreaties, flatteries or fig leaves to GEJ, nor backtracking from previous hard-line stance, nor crying the bereaved, nor any nor all or more of these, can at any time save him. Simply repent, speak whatever needs to be said in order to save whoever needs to be saved. Let heads that should roll, roll; and seats that may be lost, lost. And hope for Allaahs Mercy, Guide and Protection. For He is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. He is the protector of those who have faith: From depths of darkness He leads them forth into light. (2:257) As a post script, it is worth noting in passing that the Sule Lamido of Jigawa, the Nyako of Adamawa and the Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti experiences appear to be simply payday for earlier betrayals of their followers to the benefit of their current-day hunter, GEJ. As a control for this hypothesis, you will find valid the stories of the Kwankwaso of Kano, the Amaechi of Rivers and (hopefully) the Aregbesola of Osun. May Allaah increase our faith that we may be worth, and earn, His protection and His guidance into Light. Aameen.
