TO MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS ...PLEASE READ THIS ....from COVEY...... At this time of year I reflect upon my life and incidents guiding it. I think of many things.... The year was one for me that stands out and will be remembered both for BAD and GOOD. The new year started as most of them lately with HAM RADIO....New-years Eve on the air working straight key night ...only one contact K6KPH the Martine Radio Historical Society. My favorite HAM station where we visited on our retirement trip four years ago on new years eve has become a tradition for WD0BC. Winter although mostly uneventful featured a HAM RADIO contact with the USS MISSOURI battleship with Roger Heard NI0R at the key. WHAT A THRILL ! A single spring camping trip brought the official end of winter and signaled again life was getting good with radio club meetings, coffee sessions and general life with friends and family ....pretty much uneventful. And a special day with HAM friends building Buddistick antennas. What fun! . AND THEN ON JUNE 6Th. MY LIFE CHANGED FOREVER.....Heart attack and open-heart surgery followed by 21 days in hospital and then 12 days in Living Community. This was followed by 23 sessions at cardiac rehabilitation. Late summer brought physical and mental recovery with the ability to go camping again. A BUCKED LIST trip to Stanberry to relive old memories and make new ones. Visting with family and old classmates and people from my past and present. Thanks Richard ....I think those beers we shared were the best brewskies I ever drank ! Fall brought worry and stress with the my niece Krissy, Sister-n-law April and Brother-n-law Steve all FIGHTING CANCER.....PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR PRAYERS FOR THEM. And just two days ago we lost FRECKLES or pup.....three days short of 13 years old. I really think it would have been less stress on ME if I had died....... BUT THROUGH IT ALL......THEIR WERE YOU OUT THERE READING THIS MY FACEBOOK PAGE !!!!! YOUR support here on Facebook....YOUR telephone calls......YOUR visits ......YOUR LOVE and SUPPORT has made ME A RICH MAN! I remember you all and your support you made life worth living !!!!! SPECIAL THANK YOU to Lannie Funk who came to see me in the hospital. I hadnt seen Lannie for thirty years but he thought enough of an old friend to come visit this old CUBSCOUT. THANK YOU. To Ron Green.....visiting at Living Community and your brown bag literature (Playboy) and much more. To Roger Heard for that wonderful? McDonalds coffee.....nuff said. And to CHARLIE SHANKS ....for your visits and PRAYER on the Looking At Victory ham radio net....not only for me but family and friends who are in need. Thanks Charlie ! AND ...MY DAUGHTER and SON-N-LAW...Jennie and Ash AND grandson GAVIN! For your visits and your visit and getting the house into REHAB mode. Thanks to your hard work my return home was not only flawless but SAFE and HEALTHY. THANKS GUYS! You will never know how great it was to see Gavin when he visited at Living KQ2 | stjoechannel munity........ AND THROUGH IT ALL THEIR IS GINGER....THE LOVE OF MY LIFE......SHE WAS MY ROCK AGAIN THIS YEAR....GOD GAVE HER TO ME AND SHE GOT ME THROUGH THIS YEAR. WE HAVE LAUGED AND CRIED TOGATHER....SHE IS MY ROCK!!! IN CLOSING I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS ......HAPPY NEW YEAR.... It is unbelievable that a man can have so many FRIENDS....some who he hasnt even met in person... I AM SO BLESSED. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT..... NOW....to go PET A CAT !!!!!!!!!!! (FRECKLES....I think you planned it this way)
